This past weekend I had the extreme honor of capturing a very special wedding. That of my brother Masen and his new bride Hannah.
It has been so amazing to see how their relationship has developed up until now. The whole thing has been totally God orchestrated.
Masen and Hannah met in an extremely unique way… on discord in a homeschooled star wars meme chat. Little did any of us know that a few years later we would be welcoming her to the family. That is until he started talking about her constantly and we all started to see the spark of interest developing.
In May of 2022 they met in person for the first time and officially began their courtship. It was so precious to watch their relationship bloom and to see them keeping God at the center of at all – confident that he would bring everything together as it should be. Many trips were made between Oklahoma and Massachusetts. Hannah felt like family immediately and I think her family had a similar experience with Masen.
Then came October. Hannah made the trip down for a family vacation to Colorado, and on their return to Oklahoma Masen asked her to be his wife (Spoiler alert…she said yes).
And that brings us to last Saturday. At a little church in the Berkshire Mountains where the two of them made their vows to one another before God and a few family members. It was a sweet simple wedding- perfect for their personalities.
After the ceremony cupcakes, cider, and fellowship were enjoyed by all. After the reception there was a time of worship. Hannah and her sister Charity serenaded the church with a beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace, set to another tune, Masen and Hannah gave toasts and surprised everyone with a heart touching duet. Then Hannah’s father prayed over the couple and we sent them on their way with a barrage of snowballs being tossed at their car as they left.
It couldn’t have been more perfect.
Masen and Hannah I am so very happy for you, and so glad to officially welcome Hannah to the family. She fits right in (good choice brother 😉 ) I pray the two of you will always remember to keep God at the center of your marriage. I can’t wait to see what He continues to do in your life with one another
