I am Jordyn Emmert – a wedding photographer based out of Canton Oklahoma (which in case you are wondering is in exactly the middle of nowhere.) I am a wife and mama to two precious little boys. Most days you’ll find me, coffee in hand, running my business with my babies in tow. While they obviously don’t join me for shoots and weddings, they are constantly by my side in the day to day, and by the time they are grown will probably know more about Lightroom and Photoshop than I do!
From a super young age I was intrigued with the idea of having a career in photography, but my journey with photography really began my senior year of high-school. I have always been a story teller, and started experimenting with photography as a creative outlet in addition to writing. It didn’t take long before I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt this is what I wanted to do.
As time went on I fell in love with telling love stories, and realized that weddings were my calling. I absolutely love to serve joyful, fun couples, who are madly in love with one another! It is so incredible to have the honor of getting to know my couples and telling their stories.
I can’t wait to get to know you and to capture the beginning stages of your love story -your legacy – the precious moments that started it all
Our Little Family
George works as a water well technician, and is very mechanically minded. He is an amazing musician and can play pretty much any instrument he gets his hands on. Forever my best friend, he can make me laugh no matter the circumstances, and he is the perfect anchor for this dream boat
Since I was little I wanted to be a mom, photographer, and detective (best two out of three right ).Most people would never guess it, but I’m actually super introverted and love spending my “spare” time at home hanging out with all my family. I am, and always have been, a storyteller, and in addition to photography I love to express my creative side through music and writing.
William is our happy go lucky three year old. Our extravert (God’s way of getting us to leave the house ). Our morning child. He is a very sensitive soul and will 100% tear up just because someone he loves is sad. He is obsessed with his little siblings, dinosaurs, dump trucks, guns, and his aunts and uncles. Our little man is all boy and is happiest outside covered in dirt
Our chunky little red head. Owen is super laid back, and chill, but has a fiery side that can come out without warning. He is all about big brother and is obsessed with everything he does. He is also thoroughly enjoying being a new member of the big brother club. He loves to wrestle and play catch. He is our rainbow baby, and always keeps us laughing.
Our newest addition already has all three Emmert guys wrapped around her little finger. Ayra Grace is the perfect little mixture of fiesty and sweet. She smiles more than any newborn I’ve ever seen, and brings tons of joy to our little household. We can’t wait to get to know more of her sweet personality as the months pass.

Here's some random facts about me
I am obsessed with all things coffee (and with 3 little ones I am pretty much caffeine dependent at this point)
I am a chronic over user of exclamation points (!!!) and the laughing emoji face (). I’ve tried to rein it in but I always feel like people are going to think I’m not happy to be talking with them if I take them out
I have a rather sarcastic sense of humor (just one more reason the laughing face emoji is critical in my communication)
I wrote a full novel as a senior in high-school that still hasn’t seen the light of day. It is in something like draft seven, and it’s just “not quite ready”. Maybe one day 😛 (Perhaps the fact that I can tend to be a major perfectionist should go on the list as well)
My first time ever flying was a transatlantic flight to Zimbabwe for a mission trip. I discovered that I absolutely hate flying, but I love to travel. Thus creating a perpetual internal dilemma
