Venue Highlight | Sparrow Beginnings, Stillwater OK

The day comes, he finally proposes and you say “Yes!”

And then the wedding planning commences. Getting married is one of the most joyous occasions in life, and it’s my firm belief that it shouldn’t be stressful. Yes there are lots of decisions to be made and details to work out, but that can all honestly be a wonderful part of the experience.

After several years in the wedding industry I’ve gotten an inside peek into what goes into planning a wedding, and what seems to work really well (or not well) for most couples.

With that in mind I plan to dedicate a series on my blog into some of my best wedding planning tips, as well as highlighting some of the fantastic vendors and venues I’ve had a chance to work with over the past several years.

So today, to kick off the series I’m going to start with a venue highlight….

Sparrow Beginnings, Stillwater Oklahoma

I seriously don’t have enough good things to say about this venue. Sparrow Beginnings is located conveniently off the interstate near Stillwater, Oklahoma, and from the moment you drive up everything is stunning. The venue has an romantic country vibe that is perfect for both a rustic or classic wedding.

Outdoors

The outdoor areas boast 30 acres of beautiful landscaping and rustic wood tones. The weddings I’ve shot here have been in winter and very early Spring, and even though the bountiful trees, grasses, and flowers weren’t in bloom we still had lots of stunning areas for photos.

On the north side of the building are gorgeous picture windows (corresponding with the indoor ceremony area) that make for a perfect photo location.

Sparrow Beginnings also offers two on site cottages for those who would like to stay on site either the evening before or of their big day.

Indoors

area but in the case of smaller to mid sized weddings would not require a flip. Larger weddings may require moving the ceremony chairs to make additional space for the dance floor, but this is super streamlined and easy 😉 )

There are options for both indoor or outdoor ceremonies, but making your ceremony entrance down the grand staircase is kind of hard to pass up in my opinion!

Upstairs are the bridal and groom suits. The bridal suite has a large vanity and mirror area for hair and makeup. Two individual dressing rooms, a private bathroom, and lots of natural light (which makes for the dreamiest getting ready photos) It also has a balcony with plenty of seating and a beautiful view to hang out with your girls during the getting ready process.

The Groom suite has a large tv, Foosball table, a private bathroom and plenty of lounging space for the guys to enjoy throughout the morning. As well as a balcony adjoining to the girls.

Final Thoughts

In addition to all this some other super convenient perks included are indoor and outdoor sound systems, built in projectors, and plenty of parking space. They also have lots of wedding decor on site that can be rented for your big day to keep things more simple for you if you’d like 😉

I have never had anything but a pleasant experience working at Sparrow Beginnings and it is one of my tops recommendations for brides looking for a larger venue in the Stillwater, Guthrie, and Edmond areas.
