Jamie & Phillip – Engaged | Canton Lake Beach Session| Oklahoma Wedding and Engagement Photographer

How cute are these two? They are getting married next September, and I am already so ready for their wedding day!

Jamie and Phillip have known each other since seventh grade, and have been friends for years. but a couple of years ago that friendship blossomed into something more, and the two began dating. This summer when they went on their annual “friendcation” cruise with some of their closest friends Phillip had a surprise in store for Jamie. She told me they were all taking photos together and as they finished up Phillip told her he had one more photo idea and then pulled out a ring. (Also…can we just talk about what an amazing job he did picking out that ring…It is stunning ). 

We originally planned on a beach engagement session for these two and after a week of rain I went to check on everything only to find that they closed the gates to our local beach almost a month early There was still access from another location, but it was close to a mile walk in . After contacting Jamie we decided to rough it and try to get the beach photos we had been hoping for. Well, I have to say it was so worth it! They were such troopers and we got some completely stunning portraits! (Sunset at the beach is hard to beat!).

From the first moment I met these two was obvious how much they love each other, and by the time their session was over it felt like we were old friends.  September seems way too far away! Jamie and Phillip, you two are perfect together. Thanks for trudging through wet sand, sticks, and reeds with me I can’t wait for your wedding day, and I am certain it will be beautiful!
