It’s a random Tuesday. Bread rising on the counte

It’s a random Tuesday.

Bread rising on the counter.
The baby napping.
Kids coloring while we read history.
A quiet afternoon of work at home.

And somewhere out there, someone is meeting the love of their life.
Or kissing their newborn’s head for the very first time.

Life is built in these simple moments.

And random Tuesdays?
They’re beautiful.

I never shared this sweet wedding here… but it absolutely deserved a spot on my grid ❤️

This day was full of laughter, family, and the kind of joy that reminds me why I love what I do.

Even during my time away, I still had the honor of capturing a few weddings for close family and friends — and this was one of them.

Grateful for couples who trust me with moments like this.

For years I photographed weddings on my own, or occasionally with an outsourced second shooter.

While that’s absolutely doable, bringing on a dedicated second shooter has completely elevated the experience I’m able to give my couples.

It’s not just about more angles and a more varied gallery (although that’s a huge win!). It’s about flow. It’s about calm. It’s about knowing there’s someone beside me who anticipates what’s needed before I even ask.

Because we work exclusively together, she knows how I shoot, how I think, and where she can quietly handle the behind the scenes details so I can stay fully present with my couple...
and that kind of teamwork changes everything.

While I’m a wedding photographer through and through, every now and then I get to step outside my usual wheelhouse and capture something a little different...

Last night, I had the privilege of photographing my friend Sara's ( @hershey_homestead ) very first sourdough workshop in her home, and it was such a special evening!
There was incredible food, amazing coffee by @milliecoffeeok , and so much joy in the kitchen.

These friends of mine are on a mission to help people get back to basics — learning traditional skills that have slowly been lost and creating real, sustainable food that fuels our bodies the way God designed.

As someone on a personal journey to feed my family real, homemade meals that truly support their health, this is something I’m incredibly excited about!

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet arou

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet around here up until this week.

Two years ago this coming May, we saw two little pink lines we weren’t expecting… and just like that, baby number four was on her way.

After a four-year age gap, welcoming our fourth felt a little like starting over. Life slowed down. It was reevaluated. Restructured. Simplified.

And oh what a blessing that has been.

For the past two years, I stepped away from weddings to be fully present in a season of motherhood. That time helped reshape me...not just as a mom, but as a person and as an artist.

It reminded me of something I’ve always known but tend to forget:
Life is always moving. Always changing. Usually faster than we feel ready for.

And now here we are. Sleepless newborn nights have turned into pitter-patters down the hallway. My baby has grown into a toddler. She is convinced her siblings exist solely to dote on her...and honestly, they usually live up to her expectations.

Stepping back was a decision I’m deeply grateful I was able to make. And now, as I slowly step back into the wedding world, I’m doing so with deeper intention than ever before.

To my 2026–2027 brides:
If you’re planning a wedding that feels meaningful, intentional, and rooted in what matters most, I would be honored to capture it.

These precious moments in life are fleeting.
Let’s preserve yours ❤️

There’s something powerful about a wedding where faith isn’t just included… it’s the starting point.

Chloe and Greyson’s Tatanka Ranch wedding was stunning! Modern Western elegance in black, white, and gold... but the moments that moved me most had nothing to do with the details.

It was the private vows spoken with tears in their eyes.
It was Greyson and his groomsmen praying over their marriage before heading down the aisle.
It was the intentional slowing down to honor the covenant they were stepping into.

Their relationship with the Lord wasn’t an accessory to the day...it was the foundation.
Marriage is more than a celebration. It’s a promise before God. And witnessing couples who treat it that way is truly so special.
