Vibrant Fall Church Wedding, Fairview OK | Coda and Amelia

When Amelia and her mom called me in September and excitedly told me she and Coda were engaged it didn’t come as a shock. The two of them had been dating for several months and it was obvious from the get go they were meant to be.

What was a little more shocking though was to find out the wedding was scheduled for 5 weeks away.

When you have a family as large us ours finding a weekend that everyone is free is nearly impossible, so it was November 1st or wait until next year, and these two couldn’t wait to start their life together!

The next 5 weeks were a whirlwind for all involved, but with the help lots of friends and family the pulled off an absolutely dreamy, precious, wedding.

The entire week before was a windy rainy mess, but the day of the wedding was all sunshine, I’m honestly not sure it could have been more perfect.

The day started with Amelia and her girls getting ready at the church. The morning was full of love, laughter, and prayers. The schedule ran a bit behind but we still managed to squeeze in first looks with Amelia and her bridesmaids as well as with her dad just before the ceremony. Both of them were absolutely precious. For my mamma heart one of my favorite parts was watching Tara watch her baby girl all through the morning.

Then it was showtime. As Amelia came down the isle the look on Coda’s face was absolutely priceless. If a look of pure love can be captured I think it was in that moment.

Their ceremony had a couple of hiccups that made the day all the more memorable, special and full of laughter.
I just have to say though, having all your closest friends/family “rate” your first kiss ever- talk about pressure! (For those that weren’t there it was all in good fun…the groomsmen held up signs during the kiss at the ceremony. I don’t believe I included that photo in the blog post, but there is a reenactment in the bridal party section 😉

The rest of their day went off without a hitch and was full of too many sweet moments to recount.

I’m probably a bit biased, but one of my favorite moments from their reception was watching Coda’s dance with his mom. I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the house.

After their exit from the reception came the photographer in me’s favorite part of the day. Due to the timing of their wedding we were able to schedule all their couple photos for sunset, after their exit. It was so nice not to have a time crunch since it was the final event of the day, and the results were stunning if I do say so!

Dear Coda and Amelia

I am so very excited for you both as you begin your life together! It has been such fun to watch your relationship bloom these last several months, and I cannot wait to see how you both change and grow in the years to come.

It brings me so much joy that you both have hearts so full of love for the Lord. Building your marriage on that rock will make it all the stronger in the years to come.

Thank you so very much for trusting me with the honor of capturing your day!
