It's pretty widely known I got my start in photogr

It's pretty widely known I got my start in photography shooting families and seniors, but a little known fact is that I actually shot my first wedding back in 2014 just after I graduated highschool.

I had dreamed of pursuing a possible career in photography for a while (despite having no experience 🤣). So my senior year I tucked away every dollar I could and bought my very first DSLR. Before it had even come a friend of the family approached my Aunt and I about shooting her wedding and we said yes (looking back on that we were crazy... but we didnt know 😋) I spent the next several months reading every book on wedding photography I could get my hands on and shot that wedding in full manual. Afterwards I was hooked, and I started my family photography business a few months later at the beginning of 2015.

At the end of 2019 I transitioned into weddings and had the opportunity to capture a wedding in which that couples little girl was the flower girl ❤

I may not have been an actual wedding photographer at the time, but they will forever be my first #JECouple and I'm forever grateful they trusted me with their day and sparked the beginning of a journey that has led me here 😊 (not to mention the fact they are some of my husband and I's best friends now!)

Anyone have any fun goals this year?

Mine is too finally make our house homey. We've lived here for a little over two years, and I've had an ever growing list of projects I wanted to get done to make this place our own. After adding two new members to our little family so close together I'm finally finding the energy once again 🤣

Things have been pretty quiet on my social media accounts lately. Despite all the covid craziness in 2020 I actually still had tons of content I was so looking forward to sharing. But, with a difficult pregnancy taking care of clients had to take precedence over social media and blogging as I had time and energy.

That being said now that Arya is here things are going great and we are getting back to life as normal, and I'm so excited to catch up on past several months!

This photo is from my last engagement session of 2020. This sweet couple couple is tying the knot in May, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to capture their precious memories 😊

7 lbs 15 oz and 22.25 inches long.

This precious baby girl has totally rocked our world in the best of ways. She fits so perfectly into our little family and our boys adore her. Her daddy is already wrapped around her little finger and I've spent the past week enjoying watching them bond and snuggle.

Arya's pregnancy was hard. I had a lot of issues throughout my pregnancy and for the last several months I was in pretty bad shape. On Dec 5th at 36 weeks pregnant I went into preterm labor. Little did we know I would be in labor for 3 weeks. 😬 Because Arya was stable the Dr did not want to interfere in anyway so that she had a shot at being full term.
At the time it seemed like cruel and unusual punishment, but we are so grateful that she got to start off life on the outside without worry for her health.

On Dec 28th at 12:42 (after 23 days of laboring with no progress) the Dr finally broke my water. Arya was born healthy and happy 72 minutes later.

She is so worth all of it.

We are so grateful for all the people who helped us through the process. This little girl has a lot of people who love her!

Our last photo as a family of 4 before adding baby girl to the mix 😍 This photo was taken back in September during our family vacation in Montana (I'm super behind on instagram posting 🤣). Fun fact this is the exact spot George and I got married almost 4 and 1/2 years ago, and it's just a couple blocks away from where our first apartment was.

This year has been wild, but I'm so blessed by my little crew, and so thankful for the many blessings we have experienced in the midst of the crazy.

During this crazy season of life I recently had the opportunity to take place in a gorgeous styled shoot at Chateau Cocomar in houston. Between all the weddings and sessions in the past few weeks I hadn't had time to even look through these images until a couple of nights ago. There are so many more beautiful sneak peaks to come, but this one really caught my eye.
